Requesting a Keys from Goals
After you have created a GLG Hive wallet, you will need to request your keys for that wallet. These keys will give access to gameplay, but also transfers, purchases and more. They also can be used outside of GLG on all sorts of Hive Dapps you may find useful or fun.
Step 1: Sign in to Genesis League Goals and click the white circle in the upper right corner, then select Wallets.
Step 2: This is our wallet management page which will have your linked Hive wallet. If you made the account through GLG, you will notice the a Request Keys button, as seen below, which you will need to click:
You will notice that the Request Keys button is now greyed out, and there will be a green banner notification in the top right of the page stating "We've Sent You an Email":
Step 3: Please check your inbox for an email with the subject "Genesis League Goals", from donotreply@genesisleaguesports.com. You may need to check your spam/junk folder, or promotions folder, as some email clients organize incoming emails differently. In the email, click Retrieve Hive Keys:
Step 4: This will redirect you to the GLG website, where you will see the page below. A random number string will automatically fill the field in the middle of the page (highlighted in red below). Please do not edit this string, just click on Request Backup.
Step 5: After the string has been verified, you will see the button pictured blow. Click Download Backup.
Step 6: After you have downloaded and opened the text document containing your Hive keys, please be sure to store them in a secure location and consider using Hive Keychain to safely manage your keys.
