Genesis League Goals is all about building the best soccer team to compete against other players. Users may want to change their starting lineup, or replace players altogether, to build a better team. This guide covers how to make changes to your team by removing or replacing players. This means you first need to have a team created, with all of these spots filled. Please review our Guide to Team Management for instructions on building your team.
**Note: Replacing your players will decrease your synergy - a measure of how well your team works together.
Removing and Replacing Players
Step 1: Navigate to your Teams page via the Collection dropdown menu. Next, select the team you wish to edit:
Step 2: Click Edit Team - the first option located on the top right of the page:
Step 3: View your Team, and identify the card you wish to remove and replace.
Note: Please note that there is a 360 Roster Points Cap in creating a team which applies to players in Starting Line up & Subs positions. You cannot have a team with more than 360 Roster points. User will need to swap or remove players to have the team under the cap. Reserve Players are not included in Roster Point Calculations.
Step 4: Click this specific card in order to reveal the edit team buttons. Click Change Player to remove the player from your team AND identify a replacement at the same time, as seen below.
**Take note of the card you wish to replace as we travel to the next screen.
Step 5: View the cards in your collection that are available to swap for the card slated for removal from the team. Note your undesired card at the bottom of the screen, as well as the other cards within that position that are currently on your team. If you want to, you can change and replace them all.
Step 6: Click the card you wish to remove from your team in order to send it back into your inventory, removing it from your team lineup. Notice that this card is no longer greyed out, and there is an extra space within your team bar at the base of the screen:
Step 7: Determine which card you would like to bring onto your team to replace the one removed in the previous step. Remember, you can sort by level of various skills, ascending or descending, to make searching for what you need simpler. Identify a card that fits the parameters you desire.
Step 8: Click your desired card and note their presence within your team bar at the bottom of the screen. That card should also appear greyed out in your collection: as they are now on your team, they are no longer selectable as a replacement (seen below):
Step 9: If you are satisfied with your selections, click Finalize:
Step 9: Next, you will return to the Edit Team Screen. If you would like to adjust your starting lineup to include the newly selected player, you must Edit your Starting Lineup using Subs & Reserves.
Step 10: Click Confirm on the top right of the page after all changes have been made:
**Note: Navigating away from the Edit Teams page without confirming will result in your changes being lost.
This will prompt a Hive Keychain transaction for you to sign and submit. Click Confirm again within Keychain:
Once the transaction is published, you will get a confirmation message in the top right of the page stating "Team update successful".
We hope this guide helps you in editing your team. Please also check out our Guide to Team Management.
